  1. This directory contains the Geomview manual and various other pieces
  2. of documentation.

  4. NOTE: In addition to the PostScript and Info copies of the manual
  5. here, a dvi version is available separately via ftp from geom.umn.edu
  6. in the file "manual.tar.Z" in the "software/pub/geomview/pieces"
  7. directory.  This may be useful for on-line viewing with a dvi
  8. previewer.

  10. geomview.ps:
  11.     Printer-ready PostScript copy of the manual.  It's roughly 125
  12.     pages and contains figures, so it may take a while to print.

  14. geomview,geomview-*
  15.     The GNU Info versions of the manual.  You can install these in
  16.     your GNU Emacs Info tree.
  17.  
  18. example*.c:
  19.     Sample external modules.  These are described in the manual.
  20.     example1.c should work on any architecture since it has no user
  21.     interface. However, example2.c and example3.c depend on the FORMS
  22.     library which is only available on SGIs. Hopefully we will have
  23.     more examples in the future that work with the X11 and NeXTstep
  24.     versions of Geomview.

  27.     A quick tour through the sorts of geometry which are supported
  28.     by OOGL.

  30. OOGL.m.doc:
  31.     Documentation for the Mathematica-to-Geomview conversion
  32.     packages.  This is excerpted from the manual.

  35.     An article that appeared in an issue of the Geometry Center
  36.     newsletter announcing the first release of Geomview, in
  37.     January of 1991.
